Affilorama – The Good & The Not So Good Points

Pros

  • Easy to follow Learning Material with software applications included.
  • Access to one of the largest affiliate marketing communities.
  • Explore the basics without having to pay any money in the free starter membership.
  • Premium program includes payment options for a convenient three year payment plan.
  • Mark Ling, the owner, is well respected in the industry.

Cons

  • Choosing the right program can be difficult as there are many options.
  • Limited Basic program in comparison to the paid programs.
  • Some blatant misinformation (and harmful) training to your business
  • Additional upsells within the Program can become really expensive.
  • Your support is handed off to a support team, you don’t get to connect with Mark directly.
  • Some of the training sections are out dated such as: back linking and using private label rights content.

Now Lets Compare …

The Verdict

With so many various products and variations Affilorama can be a confusing. There are also lots of upsells and add-ons which I do not agree with because when you buy a product this should provide access to all the product and not just give you tasters and leave you feeling you are missing out on something.

Another part of the program that is outdated and harmful to an online business is the teaching on Link Building and the use of PLR articles – although a lot of the training is excellent, link building techniques and rehashing public rights articles puts all the good Affilorama does actually teach to the bottom.

Within Affilotools there is an article spinning tool which again is simple outdated for todays internet world.

All levels of Affilorama have the support from the community of members, many of which are free members.  This can be a good thing and a bad thing.  Often times someone will be there, but not all the time someone will be there to give you direct help.  The nature of a forum allows for “delayed” support and sometimes it can take several days for your query to get responded to, but sometimes this can also allow for more thorough help (versus telephone or live chat style support)

All discussions, questions and comments can be shared within the community via forums and message boards.  Mark Ling on occassion will join in on the discussions, but you should not expect a response from him in a timely matter (if at all) if you are posting questions.  He is a very busy entrepreneur and at any given time he has MANY different projects on the go.

There is support at Affilorama from the community mostly via a forum and message boards. You do sometimes see Mark Ling join in but not that often as he is a busy man. The forum does offer support from more experienced members and also staff but this can take several days your query to get responded to.

Do I recommend Affilorama?

The answer would have to be a NO. My answer is based on previous personal experience with Affilorama and my current experience with Wealthy Affiliate.

  1. Hi Suzanne, thank you for a very nice write-up on my favorite website, Wealthy Affiliate. Always great to see a great blog post on them, they are the absolute best website on the intenet today for affiliate marketing training. Whoever is reading my comment should really take advantage of the free membership. You will not regret it!

  2. Hello there. It is always great to learn about other companies in the online world. The business can have many forms and we never now what can show up as the good and helpful platforms.

I heard about Affilorama but after you review I think that it is not worth to pay $67 per month.

Of course it is good to register as free member and look around.

I appreciate this opportunity because how you can know that this one or other company can offer.

I am a member of Wealthy Affiliate and still not see around better option as this mentioned company.

It is great that we have ability to chose and learn about other options from reviews as yours. It lets me appreciate more what I have now.

All the best, be healthy and wealthy, Nemira.

  3. I have no real experience with Affilorama, but I have heard a lot about the program. I know that it is one of the very few affiliate marketing programs that are actually legitimate. I have investigated their website before and what I did not like is all the up-sells that comes with the system.

Personally, I don’t think that Mr. Mark Ling is focussing too much on value but rather his financial gains. Even thought he is such a busy entrepreneur, he still needs to at least spend a full day within his creation to offer some real help to its many members.

I have seen a lot of people move over from the Affilorama platform to Wealthy Affiliate simply because Wealthy Affiliate sets the standard by which all Affiliate Marketing programs should be measured.

I am happy to see that you are one of them who realized the great value and support that WA provides. It is not all about the money with WA. The focus is on true value and then money becomes a by-product of the value provided.

Thanks for your review on Affilorama and looking forward to seeing you within Wealthy Affiliate.

    Jason
